Analytical modelling of temperature effects on synapses

چکیده
It was previously reported, that temperature may significantly influence neural dynamics on different levels of brain modelling. Due to this fact, while creating the model in computational neuroscience we would like to make it scalable for wide-range of various brain temperatures. However currently, because of a lack of experimental data and an absence of analytical model describing temperature influence on synapses, it is not possible to include temperature effects on multi-neuron modelling

Heat Transfer Modelling in Wide Gap Rail Thermite Welding
In the current study, a thermal model was used to investigate the effects of welding parameters on the distribution of temperature in wide gap aluminothermic rail welds. To solve the governing thermal equation, SUTCAST, a finite difference program (FDM) was employed while different aspects such as phase change and convective heat transfer in weld pool were taken into account in the numerical so...
متن کاملModelling Temperature Dependency of Silicon Nitride Formation Kinetic during Reaction Bonded Method
An accurate prediction of reaction kinetics of silicon nitridation is of great importance in designing procedure of material production and controlling of reaction. The main purpose of the present study is to investigate the effect of temperature on the kinetics of reaction bonded silicon nitride (RBSN) formation. To achieve this, nitrogen diffusion in the silicon nitride layer is considered as...
متن کاملAnalytical Investigations of the Effects of Tool Pin Profile and Process Parameters on the Peak Temperature in Friction Stir Welding
In this work, effects of different tool pin profiles of flat and tapered shoulder geometries on the peak temperature in friction stir welding are investigated analytically. The developed models used for the analytical investigations considered the welding process as a combination or mixture of the pure sliding and the pure sticking. From the results, the amount of heat generation and the peak t...
متن کامل(S)- 3,5-Dihydroxyphenylglycine )an agonist for group I metabotropic glutamate receptors( induced synaptic potentiation at excitatory synapses on fast spiking GABAergic cells in visual cortex
Introduction: (S)- 3,5-Dihydroxyphenylglycine (DHPG) is an agonist for group I metabotropic glutamate receptors. DHPG-induced synaptic depression of excitatory synapses on hippocampal pyramidal neurons is well known model for synaptic plasticity studies. The aim of the present study was to examine the effects of DHPG superfusion on excitatory synapses on pyramidal and fast-spiking GABAergic cel...
متن کاملModelling the catalyst fragmentation pattern in relation to molecular properties and particle overheating in olefin polymerization
A two-dimensional single particle finite element model was used to examine the effects of particle fragmental pattern on the average molecular weights, polymerization rate and particle overheating in heterogeneous Ziegler-Natta olefin polymerization. A two-site catalyst kinetic mechanism was employed together with a dynamic two-dimensional molecular species in diffusion-reaction equation. The i...
